Boo, it's snowing again. Actually, I think it may have stopped for now, but it is supposed to snow more today and tomorrow. The snow finally started melting last week, and now there isn't too much left on the ground, so of course it has to start snowing again. Spring, please get here soon! At least setting the clocks ahead an hour makes it seem ( Read more... )

I liked Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs well enough. Some essays are very amusing. I could easily see how Klosterman's style would annoy the living hell out of some people, though. (I suck at reviewing things, too).

I'm about half way through the book now. So far, I like Klosterman's style. There have been some essays that I really liked, while there were others that kind of bored me.

Sometimes when I review things, I'm afraid to be too harsh because I don't want to offend anyone who really loves what I just criticized.

Apparently where I live we are getting around 50cms between today and tomorrow morning and then another 25 or something on Sunday. I can't wait for summer now.

Lamb was alright but I really couldn't get that into it. I think if I was brought up with religion (I actually didn't know the whole story of Adam and Eve until this year) I'd have liked it a lot more.
Sex, Drugs, and Coco Puff's is awesome. I still prefer Killing Yourself To Live just because it was more of a story than that but it's still really good. I'm excited for his fictional novel Downtown Owl to come out in the fall. I heart Chuck Klosterman.

Eek, that sucks that you're getting so much snow. I think they misjudged how much snow my area would be getting because there were just a few flurries yesterday and this morning. None of the snow stuck to the ground, so I'm happy about that.

I wasn't brought up with religion either, and I agree that probably has some influence on how you react to Lamb. So far I'm enjoying Sex, Drugs, and Coco Puffs. I have no idea what Killing Yourself To Live is about, but I love the title. If I still like Sex... once I finish reading it, I'll have to seek out Klosterman's other stuff.
