Dot's pillow is still in my room, and tonight I figured out why: I flipped it over and used it as a cushion for meditation. Zafus and Zabutons be damned, I have what I need right here.

The full lotus position is surprisingly easy. Not to get into, mind you, but once I'm there, it's nice to sit in. Much harder, I've found, is posture. My lower ( Read more... )

J is, of course, a literary construct; something of a golemn of utterances, so when he leaves us a line like "Dot's pillow is still in my room," and declines to explain, we are compelled, like fanboys, to write fiction about this small thread of the unusual; it is a noodle incident, but one involving an entire country conjured out of the Arctic wilds by the need of American athiests to believe in something better, sometimes referred to as ECCO Arctic, often abbrivated HOPE, but pronounced 'Canada'. That this also permits schoolgirls to stare at J's crotch in the movie adaptation will never become relevant, except to the schoolgirls.

Sherlock Holmes still lives at 22B Baker Street, lying on his couch in languid intense thought, with his muddy boots from last night's sleuthing drying under the window; this is an inarguable fact. Certainly also, at least to that extent, Canada exists.

This refers to a large green pillow that our recently deceased doggie always laid upon in life... now I want to know about this poem ;)
