Summary: Sakurai Sho never likes his current status quo, until he joined the army and learned about life in his own way, including falling in love.
A/N: This fic can be considered as another one shot of this story. It is from Sho’s POV, this time around.
The moment Sakurai Sho knows the fact he is not like other typical rich kid when he was 14 years old.
He loves learning but he hated studying for his grades.
He loves soccer but he hated he only got chosen into the team not because of his skill but because of his social status family’s background.
He loves making friends but he hated all the friends he had at the moment because they were after his money not because of his friendship offering.
He liked having a relationship but after a few break-ups he just realized he actually like being with guys more compare to girls and afraid of breaking his family’s pride, he pretended to be like any other guy who’s into boobs, asses and also sex.
Overall Sakurai Sho hated his current status quo.
He wishes he is not a politician’s son and not being too rich.
Sometimes he really wish he can go away from his family for a while and have his own way kind of life, exploring the world, making good deeds and maybe one day he can come clean about his sexual preference to his parents without feeling too guilty.
He had also hoped maybe one day he can totally fall in love, with the right guy and be happy just with the two of them.

When Sho decided he wants to join the army, his father was not happy about it. He wants him to follow his footsteps, being in the politician line just like him, when he knows Sho had so much potential in him to continue the Sakurai’s heritage line.
Sho flatly rejected father’s ambition by saying he had his own dream to fulfill and it caused his cheek to be slapped hard by his father being watched by his mother at the sideline, discomfort of need to chose which side she wants to be on expression clearly plastered on her face.
She looked at Sho with tender eyes before mumbling soft apology and Sho knows his mother had chosen a side, and that was not his.
He stubbornly stick to his decision until one day his father came to his room, offering a deal that he can still join the army, as long as he comes home alive but if he ever be in a near death experience, his father promised him, he will use his power to bring Sho back at home and his soldier life is over for good.
After few moments of silence, Sho reluctantly agreed and he wished he rather be dead instead of having his soldier life ended by being a politician.

Being a soldier was hard but Sho knows he can endure it.
In fact he was actually having fun with all the hard trainings he had been doing and even he was having an up and down with his job, Sho knows he is happy.
He met a lot of acquaintances throughout his service years, being able to cover his real family background and just blended in. He made a couple of good friends and somewhere along the way, he comes clean with his sexual preference and to his relief, all of his good friends accepted him for what he is.
“We don’t care who you are Sho as long we know you have a good heart” Jun, his best friend in the army said.
And for once in Sho’s life, he is grateful with what he’s having at the moment.

Battlefield is a one scary place to be in.
Once you landed, you will never know whether when it is over, you will be leaving alive without body damage, or losing some of your limbs or worst fall down six feet under.
Being in a battlefield made Sho appreciates everything that going on with his life. He knows he had a very good family, enough money to live by, along the way he was gifted with good and dependable friends and best friend Jun and little he did want from his life would be falling in love.
Every time he came out from a battlefield alive and unharmed, he wishes hard he can go back to his loved one.
He jumped from one night stand to another but the goddess of luck never smile on him throughout the nights.

One day, when he was severely injured in the battlefield, for the first time in his life he was afraid of dying. He missed his family badly, he had yet to meet his destined one and he prayed hard to God that he want to continue living, wanting to do more good deeds in his life and he is still too young to die.
He was slipping away from the consciousness, when Jun carried him to the medic’s tent, yelling desperately to one of the doctors, to save him.
He groaned loudly in pain when they put him on the table, his hearing barely registered a soft soothing husky voice talking to him and before he slipping for real into unconsciousness, he grabbed desperately the doctor’s hand, eyes reading the name tag that been tagged on the doctor’s coat, before landing his view at a pair of beautiful brown eyes, “Please save me Aiba-sensei” and he heard a soft reply saying “I’ll try my best Sakurai-san”

When he woke up one day, he realized he was back at his home, being taken care by his family’s doctor and nurses.
His father came to him, few days later saying he will no longer a soldier and he should consider continue his studies in New York, and once he graduated he can join him at the politic chair and continue Sakurai’s heir line.
They had a deal before Sho left for his army duties, he almost died and being saved and now it is his turn to keep the promise he made with his father and Sho nodded.
His father smiled and left him alone to be in reverie.
Little that he knows Sho was not actually dulling over the deal but he kept thinking back his almost death experience, the eyes and soothing voice that haunts his thought ever since and for once Sho knows what fallen in love meant.
He had fallen in love with a doctor who had save his life named Aiba.

Being a politician’s son sometimes can be a good thing, Sho thought when he was healed enough to walk out from the house, taking time to spend for himself before flying away to New York to fulfilled his deal with his father, went looking for the doctor that had saved his life and took his heart along the way.
He had found out full details about the doctor, full name Aiba Masaki, a Surgeon at the General Hospital of Tokyo, but mostly spent his time being a battlefield surgeon and at the same time Sho had found out his address, his hang out places and his circle of friends.
Sho tried hard not to think himself as a stalker but he had fallen hard for this doctor and besides his need to thank him for saving his life, and maybe from there he can try to court this man.

He found him at the bar the doctor usually frequented during his stake out. He went nervously to him and seated beside him, ordering the same drink, noticing the doctor’s eyes were following his moves. He braved himself, turning to the doctor before saying “I’m glad I finally found you Aiba-sensei. I haven’t had the chance to thank you yet for saving my life.”
His stomach turns butterflies and his breaths hitched when Aiba smiled back at him and replied
“Sakurai-san, I’m glad to see you fine and healthy”

Aiba is one fun guy to talk with, he decided.
After their greetings, they falls into an easy conversation and each conversation Aiba always know how to make him laugh and for once in his life, Sho was actually happy to be in a conversation from listening side.
They had too much drinks and Aiba had excused himself, saying that he needed to be in the hospital early in the morning and he do not want to be late for his shift and together both of them walked out from the bar, waiting for the taxi.
While waiting, they still continue talking and Sho desperately thought on how he can get to know this person more and was about to ask his number when a taxi came into their view and he hailed it.
The taxi stopped in front of them, and he offered the first ride to Aiba since he still doesn’t feel the need to share his family background with Aiba yet as he doesn’t want to scare Aiba away.
He was surprised when suddenly Aiba turned to him and asked if he want to go to his place and Sho without thinking twice agreed.

He blamed it on the alcohol intakes they both had earlier when suddenly he jumped on Aiba, kissing him feverishly.
He was happy when Aiba kissed him as excited as he was and he knows they were moving too fast but instead of him stopping it, he decided to follow his desire and he knows he won’t regretting this one night stand he’s having with Aiba.
He was surprised himself when he accidently confessed he loves him when they climaxed together and his heart was a bit crush when Aiba just plainly stares at him and didn’t say anything.
He should have known, he is in love with Aiba but Aiba might not be feeling the same.
That night, to Sho it was the night of him making love on Aiba but to Aiba, Sho thought it might just be a typical one night stand.

He woke up early the next morning with Aiba leaning close to his arm.
He looked at the sleeping face for one last time.
He wonder if he will have a proper chance to court this man again and his heart breaks when a thought crossed his mind, saying Aiba might not be feeling the same.
He got up and dressed and before leaving, he leaned over, closes enough to peck Aiba’s lips and murmured “I really am in love with you and I hope one day I can properly court you. I really hope I can meet you again. For now goodbye Aiba-sensei”
