First thing first, the Wiki page gives a lot of the much needed information on how the Department operates on normal days. How the department is reacting!:

- We only have one station and one truck and two fires in two locations.
- Ba'alzebub's: The truck along with Volunteer staff and Claire Bennett are being dispatched to this location for pcs. The volunteer NPC staff will also be with them.
- The Sanctuary: Full time staff PCs are being sent here, as well as full-time NPCs. Hope and Shaw will handle the fire with their abilities, Harkness and NPCs will handle evacuation and protection of the people inside.

We're all invited to a party in honor of the department! Throw on your best clothes, guys. It'll be a light and fun gathering so something nice for the Department.

I don't think Jack would want to go to this, IC. Is Hope going to be requiring/guilting/pleading with the volunteers to make an appearance, too, or jut the full time staff? I'm not really sure how dire the financial situation is and how badly they need the money.

OOC I'm fine with Jack going, he just wouldn't want to attend under his own steam.

She won't require the volunteers to, though she'll heavily hint that they should if they can. Money situation's been enough to keep the station afloat as is, but they need another truck and Hope wants to open two more stations at least in the future (clearly a very hefty goal but yeah), so they're definitely trying to get as much finances as they can. The main problem is since the city hasn't had a Fire Department for so long Hope's had to play catch up at getting the city up to code so that's where most the money goes but now she's trying to build up the department even better.

The whole Department is being dispatched- no arguments. Everyone's on rescue duty. Hope wants everyone trying to keep some kind of order and helping as much as they can. She knows it's difficult with this kind of situation, but she wants everyone to do their best and only take on what they know they can handle. Securing survivors and evacuating the building comes first. And if they can, they're to try to keep civilians from going in on rescue missions. She knows the Department's a little small to be handling that, but she wants them to do their best to.

So the Department made bank at the event primarily because Satan gave Hope $100 million. As of this moment, Hope hasn't decided what to do with the check. She's still got it close and safe with her and keeps debating how to handle it since Satan and Persephone did just take over.

I have decided that soon Hope's going to ask Shaw's opinion on what to do with the money, and in they end they're going to keep it. Not sure where this will put them with everything, but all the same the money is going to revamping and fixing up the department and getting a new truck and pretty much whatever they want but only for the department and making it better. Everyone will get a bonus but no raises until they've decided what else to do with the money.

This only pertains in how the Department was run in her absence for three days. Basically, Jack Harkness (not the future one) was in charge during that time period as he's the second oldest member of the department after her. That is all!

Is she going to be wary/suspicious/mistrusting of Jack or threatened by him after he took over in her absence? Or is their working relationship going to stay the same?

Their working relationship will stay the same! She's very professional and goal-oriented still. But as far as personal relationship she's going to be distant and cold. If it doesn't pertain to work, she's likely not going to talk about it. She'll be less joking and teasing and laughing with everyone too.

Cool. They didn't really socialize anyway. He doesn't need her to be nice to him. As long as he respects her professionally (which he does) he's happy to be her right hand man.
