Tomorrow, G will touch down in Frisco and begin the long month ahead in which D. will have pretty much zero to do with me and focus himself upon her as if she was a stage actress and himself a spotlight

I agree...the movie, Over the Top is nothing but cancerous celluloid at its fucking worst. -- Just the thought of it (and yes, I have seen it), makes me want to vomit blood from my peepee hole!!!
One thing I have learned: there is always an even worse movie.

Gobble gobble Hey!
So what gets your award for the worst movie ever made? It's really fucking hard for me to imagine a film that hits more Fail points than Over The Top. I'd watch a raft of bad Marvel rip-off schlock before I'd even watch the MSTed version of that again, it was that much of a Huge Stool Wound Around a Reel.
Glad to hear you're getting your stability on.
Don't quite give me that much credit yet...I've reached a point of not being careeningly emotively UNstable but I think there's some more traveling to do before I reach the mesa called Stability.
(And when I do...it would figure if it turned out to be too dull to sustain the chaos that is me...)
Nothing in that movie--and I do mean NOTHING--bears even the slightest resemblance to anything that any real person would do EVER.I didn't see the first or the second...the third only got watched for the MSTing. The premise was that some alien symbiote oozed itself into a bunch of black thread all over Spiderman while he was pissed off at someone and he woke up wearing a black Spiderman costume that made him act evil

Wow... I kinda thought I was probably the only person in the world who took MST3k as some sort of medicine for the soul. On quite a few occasions, I've taken refuge from deep and lonely depression with a binge of Joel and the bots... even just hearing the closing theme makes me feel better, for reasons I don't yet understand. Maybe it's that they make such good company, even though they don't really know I exist? Just nostalgic memory of better times? I dunno.
I can't recall "Over The Top", which means it's time to rewatch. The two worst that come to my mind are "Castle of Fu Manchu" and the legendary "Manos: The Hands of Fate". Most people don't seem to remember Fu Manchu as well, I guess because it didn't have a villain whose distinguishing characteristics were a speech impediment and comically deformed knees, but damn that was a bad movie.

Manos the Hands of Fate was one of the better MSTings - and one of the worst films, though it's bad in a totally different way than Over the Top is bad, a much more entertaining sort of badness.
I mean, how can you not laugh at the unintended funniness of Torgo? I think the actor who played Torgo in that film really talked and walked like that, and wasn't "acting" at all. And remember how it took maybe two thirds of the movie before anything actually happened in the script at all?
Rifftrax can be found at http://rifftrax.com - or fire up your eMule or bit-torrent proggie and hit its search engine with the word Rifftrax and have fun! (And know you're not alone. It really is damned good medicine!)
