this has nothing to do with the eternal woman (ie. the nation). i never went about it like that.

it's not to say that friendship isn't possible between the two, or that it will always be vulgar, but that friendship must be developed after contact has been made and not be the foundation of relations between men and women.

ох, ну это сложно все. Но с фразой Уэльбека все равно не согласна. Потому что imho изначально дружба подразумевает гораздо более глубокие отношения, чем love, sex etc.
