I read this when it first went up on subrosa_tennis and was the first to comment on it, and reading it again now just makes this fic twice as absolutely awesome as it was then. *hearts* A serious take on genderswitch is (I believe) insanely difficult to pull off, and so much of genderswitch is just humor and crack, so that makes this stand out all the more.

I won't pick out a specific part I liked best: to me this fic has to be taken in its totality in order to be properly appreciated. Thank you for writing something so awesome and sharing it with the comm!

I also first read this when it was on subrosa- the only subrosa fic, actually, that I read. And I really enjoyed it. Maybe partially because I enjoy genderswitch and I'd yet seen it done with D1, but I also enjoyed the emotions behind it and the tension between Niou and Yagyuu, which you wrote very convincingly.

I admit to being a bit disappointed that a) there was no real smut and b) that the ending was somewhat ambiguous, but both of those criticisms (if you call them that) are somewhat negated because the ending fit with the tone of the rest of the fic and having either of the two might have...disrupted the flow you had going in this piece.

Anyway, this was a thoroughly enjoyable fic and I'm glad I took the chance and read it! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! :)

(On a side note: I was tempted to write a smut scene between the two of them, but I was finishing it pretty close to the time we needed the fics in and thought it would be easy to leave it out, even if it would have been fun to write.)

Eeeeee I really liked this fic! I've hardly ready any genderswap fics on any pairing let alone D1! But this was really quite different. (well for a start it wasn't a crack fic which most gender swaps are XD)

Quite thought provoking from the players stand-off points, and of course the fact that one day you realise you're a girl and your parents hate you and you hate yourself even more......or something like that :P

I tell you what though, a lovely dash of Yagyuu and female!Niou smut would have been fabulous, ;) but it was a great read even without it! :)

This was the only subrosa fic I read (well... the only one I read right the way through), too, and I thought it sounded a lot like you. *laughs* I was just too much of a wuss to make a guess. I'm never terribly convinced that I like genderswitch but there's definitely something about this which I really enjoy; the fact that I keep coming back to poke at it kind of says that. I'm... intrigued, I think is the best way to put it. It's good!
