I may need a one- or two-day extension. My fic is in two parts of just under 6,000 words each. I got Part 1 back from my beta today with some corrections and recommendations for changes, which I'm in the process of incorporating into my master draft. Part 2 is going out for her review sometime later today.
In any case, if I spend the weekend "tweaking and polishing", I should be able to have the "finished product" to you either tomorrow or Sunday (if that's okay!).
So sorry for taking it down to the wire in regard to the deadline! Mea culpa!
I don't know that anyone has actually said this yet, 'Drea, but THANK YOU for all the work you have put into creating and administering this exchange. I am really excited to see all the stories as they are posted - the wealth of talent in the POTC communities is incredible. We are lucky to have someone as patient and organized as you involved.
If it happens again - god forbid - you can always use Google Docs. But don't worry, take your time. Any realistic ETAs rather than "sometime this week"? (Asked only because I spend most of my days away from a computer and don't want to kill my gmail...)
I had already requested an extension to Sunday. I sure hope to be done by then. I will DEFINITELY have it in to you before Thanksgiving (mainly because I have to cook and don't need any distractions when I start making pie :-) ). If that's all right ...
