I LOVE EDWARD GOREY. My parents had an Old Possums Practical Cats that was illustrated by him. SO MUCH LOVE.

Old Possum was one of my favorite books when I was little! (I still have my old copy, but it's not very readable--most of the pages are now held in with Scotch tape.)

Me too!! Macavity and Jellicle Cats, and my dad would recite them to me. (He would also sing Jabberwocky to the tune of The Yellow Rose of Texas, but that's another story.)

D is for Desmond is my personal favorite. He's just so calm.

Also, as another Kate, that one makes me giggle a lot.
