「 Tokyo ni Furu Yuki,,, 」sakushi : Gara | sakkyoku : Kenichi | henkyoku : Merry ( ... )

I translated time ago "Utagoe Kissa Modern", and It was more strange than a poem.

First off, thank you! (And welcome☆)
I worked before on ト・ロ・ケ・テ・ル and while I think that overall it went pretty well, there were a few definite, solid snags. XD I can't say how G L A D I have that someone else came up with LOCAL for low軽(色) though!! I was wracking my brain, convinced that 軽色 was NOT a word, and that even if it was, it didn't sound like anything Gara could be saying. -.-; I'm sure it's just one example of many of his plays on words, though♥
Just one small thing though if I may? I believe 浮ついた would be read "uwatsuita" and not "uku tsuita". ^^;
Perhaps it doesn't need to be said, but I truly appreciate the sensitivity with which you are handling all of this. :)
Also, I uploaded 「東京に降る雪・・・」 here because I couldn't help but notice that you said you'd never listened to it!
It's really quite atmospheric and with an appropriate name to boot, so I hope you'll enjoy~.

the kanji lyrics I had said ローカル色, so I don`t deserve any kanji- redaing-skills credit here... I hate it though when they make up kanji words for phonetic reasons and I have to fight with them... poor us:)
You are absolutely right about 浮ついた reading uwatsuita. thanks for pointing it out.
sorry and please correct that in your copies everyone :)
The song is GREAT!!! I love garas voice... may I ask where it is from? was that a b- side to some single? I thought I had a good merry- collection, now I feel like I should go hunting... there`s treasure everywhere.

No problem! :)
Yeah I was talking to a couple Japanese fans who seemed decidedly confused by my question...so either it was very obvious to them, or they just missed on that all together. XD Gara loves to play with words, for sure, but luckily this isn't something he seems to do all that often. >>;
Isn't it fantastic? :D There's a wonderful live version on the 白い/黒い羊 DVD that came out late last year, too! The original came as the second track on a bonus "single" if you will paired with the original recording of 妄想rendez-vous as an extra with the first pressing of the SCI-FI nuケミカルレトリック~first cut~ DVD that came out in late 2005. :) That's a good way to think of it though. XD ♥

sometimes i stare at a word for minutes before i get what it`s supposed to mean. or i don`t get it at all like with "kopuroraria". what might that be?
no wonder i didn`t find the song by chance... it`s great though and i`m happy that i have it now :)
