The Bravest Hunter - Unofficial Walkthrough Part 11: HR 10, C6 (Keris Semar Mesem and Serafiel)

Aug 25, 2013 16:01

Note that is only one of several ways to beat the game. This walkthrough hopefully will be helpful for new players, people who have problems and especially those who try to play in offline mode.
From this point on, I was entirely on my own. If anyone found a better way to continue, please, let me know.

Maximum Hunter Rank …: As I already mentioned, nothing new at the Tavern. There are some fancy new items available at the Shops, but either I need too many components, I can't get them at all, I don't want them or I will get them as reward anyway, should I decide to beat certain missions. There was one exception, though: the Golden Helm II that you can purchase from the Regular Store in town from now on. I want it and you probably want it, too.

„Slay Behemoth II“: Similar to „Defeat Twin Madbull“, just that the Boss is one huge Lizardlord here. Needed 19 AP/3 AP Boosters.

„The Trial III“: As I did it and don't remember any special problems, it must be possible to beat this mission. (Assassin Rank 5, level 42.)

„Heavenly Being“: The last 20 to 30 areas pushed Gabriel to her limits, she wasn't able to beat more than one group of normal enemies per turn (11 AP) any more, sometimes not even that. At floor 80+ even the normal enemies had 50K+ HP. Phew … that felt like hard work. As for Serafiel, the Boss, I used 3 AP Boosters to be safe so that I had 20 AP during my first turn. With the 19th AP Gabriel finally used Slay and dealt massive damage again. I didn't see the exact value, but it must have been several 100K. Good bye, Serafiel, and maybe welcome in my group somewhere in the future.
Serafiel has over 16K HP, almost 2500 STR, 35% CRIT and good resistances. She is fighting with an Eternal Blade (Slay ability and „Lightning Stab“ which has a chance to stun enemies.) For now, I will keep Gabriel, but sooner or later I will have to find a way to deal more damage. If I had a better weapon (with either multiple attacks or Slay ability) for Carlos … It is impossible to build a combo chain with Serafiel alone (her attacks are horribly slow), but, maybe, when I let her fight together with my avatar as a team … I will try, just not now.

Farming, with interruptions ...
„Defeat The Assassin Trio“ (once, 3rd time during this game)
„Golden Skull Legend“ (Assassin Rank 6, level 44.)
„Defeat The Assassin Trio“ (once, left me at level 45.)
„Defeat Sentinel II“ (The 1900 HR points I don't need any more, but the Gilgamesh Helmet is a nice reward and will come in handy for anyone who doesn't have the Golden Helm II yet.)
„Defeat The Assassin Trio“ (9 times, after the 8th time Carlos reached level 50 so that I earned the „Diligent“ Achievement. Equipped Excalibur, but Carlos only kept it until after the 9th run through.)

Secret Shop/Shop/Equip: Now that I had enough Sun and Moon Stones, I purchased one Keris Semar Mesem (or Mendem, both names are used in the game) for Carlos. I know that I will get one at level 99, but I need it now, I also might have a Twin Keris crafted when I get my level 99 reward. I don't know if it was here that I had a Dragon Crest Shield crafted at the Shop in Town or if I had gotten it earlier already. Anyway, I let Carlos equip the Keris I just bought and the Dragon Crest Shield as well.

Formation/Tavern: Replaced Gabriel by Serafiel. Formation: Sera-Front, Carlos-Middle, Sakura-Back (could be anyone with 3 AP at the rear position, I doubt that it will make much difference from now on).
