Three quarters of the year

Anyone who has followed this journal (remember when we all used to post multiple times a day!?), you know I am Not Friends with Fall. I'm a spring baby, I grew up in a softer climate than the one I was born and returned to, and it gets darker, and I just, well, NEH. NEH, I DON'T LIKE FALL ( Read more... )

I'm sure it depends at least partly on where you live. Here in Oklahoma, spring is the season that does it's very best each year to violently murder us all. I prefer fall because it has all of the pleasant weather with none of the white-knuckle terror. Also, pumpkins.

Yep. What she said. Oklahoma in spring is rough. Fall for us means a turning down of the baking temperature (only mid-80s today!)

But seasonal tastes are intensely personal, so hate whichever season you want. ;o)

It's interesting, most people do seem to either be fall people OR spring people.

And yet, I am a fall AND spring person, but very much not a winter or summer person. Winter here in CO is ok, but that's because it forgets itself and masquerades as fall or spring most of the time.

But, yes, one just feels the way one does about these things, no sense in trying for conversions :D.

And hey, congrats on making progress on your goals.

So... you're seasonally crepuscular?

ha, yes, and in fact I have used that exact phrase before! :)

I'm a pretty big fan of the daily crepuscular too, but I'm not usually awake for the sunrise side unless I've *stayed* awake.... I miss those long northern summer evenings, though! The only good part of summer other than going to the beach, as far as I'm concerned.

ditto the Oklahoma folks; I used to love spring and fall so equally that I would have internal debates about which I liked best each time one rolled around. But that's because Kansas winters and summers are both nasty as far as I'm concerned and I was happy to see the back of them. But yes, feel free to hate fall!

Also, if JE is what I think it is, I am still looking forward to that one, whenever the time is right . . . . :D
