TV Adaptations

I've been meaning to write this for a while about a couple of shows I'm watching that are adaptations of stuff I read. And I'm surprisingly pleased.

I've only just started reading "Hellblazer" after watching the show, but so far I'm loving them both - until now, my only exposure to Constantine was his crossover in Sandman.

I'm really glad to have found both....

As with most comics, it wanders around in quality. I thought the first year was amazing, the second, not so much. The Garth Ennis stuff is very good.

Also, if you haven't already, check out John's first appearances in Swamp Thing. It's during the American Gothic storyline, which is just incredible storytelling.

"Constantine" was a bit rough at first but got quite good. I'm pleased with it overall and thought the way they've adapted specific storylines from "Hellblazer" was generally sensible. I hope it gets renewed (apparently to be decided later this spring).

Yeah, for a while it looked it it was going to be "Demon of the Week", but they seem to have changed things up.

I jsut kept really needing the costume team to swipe the trench and run it over with a truck a few times, have someone pee on it, and maybe toss it in a swamp for a few days?
