Title: My Sweetheart the Drunk

Summary: Arthur/Merlin, Modern AU
They meet at an orientation week party at uni/college, when a blind drunk Arthur mistakes Merlin for a slightly androgynous girl (note: not actually a girl!Merlin prompt). Merlin is initially responsive to being hit on by Arthur, but when he understands that Arthur is confused, he lets him down gently (without bothering to tell him he's a bloke).
Being used to getting what he wants (and maybe a little bit besotted), he starts following Merlin around campus and flirting with him. Other students think Arthur is being rude/homophobic by calling him a girl and harassing him, so they don't correct his assumptions. Merlin is too confused and overwhelmed by Arthur's attentions to do so himself, and let's face it. Arthur is really, really good at denying the obvious and glaring truth.
Bonus points if you can find a happy / sexy ending to Arthur's denial :D
