Bertha danced down the corridor and, on seeing Amelia stood outside the common room, shouted and ran towards her friend and hugged her happily, "Ameeeeeelia! Let's go quickly!" She hooked Amelia's elbow in hers and steared her towards the stairs.
"Okay!" Bertha agreed cheerfully, taking her friends arm again and draggin her over to the tavern, smiling happily at everyone as they walked in. "Where should we sit?"
Bertha stood for a moment, deep in thought as she surveyed the room. "There!" She finally announced, grinning and pointing to a table in the corner next to an unusually large potted plant.
Amelia bounced to the balls of her feet, "Awesome!" She linked arms with Bertha and skipped over to the table, "You know, I've never been drinking without Eddie before."
She laughed whilst sitting down on one of the benches. "It's fun!" She said, as though to assure her friend and waved enthusiastically at Madam Rosmerta, who started to head over. "It's much better without boys, at least I think it must be. The only boy I've ever been drinking with was Frank and he's not really like other boys."
"You are being very astute tonight Amelia, I like it!" She grinned up at Rosmerta as she approached. "Hi!" "Hey Bertha, what do you think of the plant then?" "You got the big one!" Bertha exclaimed happily, patting the plant next to her. "Sure did. Hi Amelia, what are you girls having then?"
"Something fruity, please?" She smiled at Rosmerta, "I haven't anything in mind, though. But strong, yeah?" Rosmerta turned to Bertha, "And you, love?"
"Amelia's clever so I'll probably like what she's having. The same please." "Okay." Bertha smiled at Amelia, "What do people who aren't Frank talk about when they're out drinking?"
She considered this for a moment, "It's good because I don't like school work but I quite like being at Hogwarts so it's a bit sad as well. So I suppose I would say, generally it's great." She finished, smiling.
Bertha grinned happily, "Yes! Oh my gosh, that's the best idea in the world! What kind of place would it be?" She mused as Rosmerta came over and set their drinks on the table, they were tall and orange with pink straws in.
Bertha nodded enthusiastically. "With a big big comfy sofa and beanbags. I like beanbags." She took a long sip of her drink through the straw. "Yum! I like this drink as well!"
