[Merlin is already there, and he closes the door quietly behind Elyan so they don't disturb Gaius. He's been having doubts about this since he left the blacksmith's shop this afternoon, and he bites his lip nervously,] I was starting to think you weren't coming...

Oh. [Well that's a relief. He looks rather relieved as well.] I'm sorry that happened... I should have guessed, though. You were acting rather strangely.

[young_merlin]

[Merlin's eyes widen in surprise at that,] Are you sure the enchantment has faded?

[young_merlin]

Is it a terrible thing to say I'm a little relieved? [Merlin looks apologetic,] It was just... a bit much and extremely sudden earlier...

[young_merlin]

[Merlin nods,] I think that's why I was so surprised... you were acting more like Gwaine.

[young_merlin]

It wasn't intended as such. [He moves closer to Elyan and takes his hand, smiling,] Will you stay a while? I would like to get to know you better.
