I think your friend should definitely go with what she wants. It's her wedding, not her mother's.

I totally love the desing on the left. Poofy wedding dress are not for everyone and in my opinion, they're overused these days.

I know right? That's what I told her. Her mother saw one of her friend's daughter's wedding dress and now wants something exactly like it. :/

Those drawings are beautiful. I had to laugh when you mentioned a poofy dress. When I was jn my teens I found 'my perfect wedding gown' and yes, it was poofy lol! So glad my tastes are more refined now. Out with the poofy and in with the fitted or A line.

I've got nothing against poofy dresses tbh. It suits some people (probably even me, but I don't intend to get married) but my friend is not one of those people. She's really tall and has a great shape so I think a more streamlined, elegant design would suit her better. Thankfully she agrees. Just have to convince her mother...

I was trying not to think too hard about it tbh. It'd look great it satin or georgette, but honestly it'd all be down to budget, which I know is not really all the much.
