G'day! I had a lovely weekend. On Saturday I tramped around a very damp field and got rained upon in an effort to locate the field where the Dragon comes to talk to Merlin... and pretty much gave up on that as impossible without asking for direct info from the production itself. I also found some wheatfields with poppies, which looked spectacular.

I don't know about the best time, but I am going to try to get there between 9:30 and 10:00. Sometimes they don't start filming until the middle of the day, but I'm going on a hunch that it'll be earlier tomorrow.
See you then!

Through your informative postings I am with you and experiencing it all.
Tramping through a field, yup know the feeling well.
We're in Monmouth at the moment and in some way it's good to know that Merlin is not around so that Mr P and I can concentrate on each other *giggles*.
One question about Pierrefonds - is Marie still there working as 3AD?*shakes with fear*
Looking forward to your next report - have a great day.
PS doesn't Gwen look lovely wow!

Have fun in Monmouth. I was just scouting out restaurants/pubs for when I'm there in a couple of weeks. Have you eaten at The New Inn or the Bluebell Restaurant in Coleford? Or the Yaks and Yeti restaurant in Ross-On-Wye?

I do not know of the restaurants/pubs that you mentioned, sorry.
Did get a walk round Ross but didn't eat there, so I'm no help at all to you.
Have a great time when you come over.
Question - were you at Raglan Castle at the end of March last year? Some of your photo's look just like ours and it would be such a shame to think that we were there together but didn't meet. I know that I never made it to Neath Abbey but Mr P and I have had a walk round there since and have taken photos, I even managed to poke my camera into the undercroft.
We are up in Forest of Dean with friends 1st to 4th July - going to introduce them to Puzzlewood, would like to take them to the Amazing Hedge Puzzle (such a zanny place) as well but we are there to walk so hey ho another time, they don't know what they'll be missing.
Have fun (I know you will)looking forward to your journal postings.

This year we were at Puzzlewood on July 4. So we must have missed each other again!
Some time we'll have to coordinate things a bit better. :D
