Rules

1. This is an exchange: in order to receive a gift, you must submit one.

2. All works produced must feature femmeslash. Het and M/M slash are allowable in content, but only as secondary pairings. The primary focus of the work must always be a romantic and/or sexual relationship between two or more of the show's female characters.

So to check: threesome and moresome pairings are only acceptable as the focus of the fic if all the characters are female?

Not necessarily - as long as the f/f relationship is the primary focus it's allowed (e.g. Gwen/Morgana with Merlin thrown in would be fine). When writing/requesting, just keep in mind that this is a femslash-centric fest :)

So if I'm interpreting your words correctly, the story couldn't centre on a mixed-gender poly pairing, e.g. Gwen/Morgana/Merlin/Arthur? If so, could you state that explicitly in the rules?

In my experience of modding hp_femsmut people's interpretation of what constitutes femslash varies enormously, especially for art, hence the question. I've rejected submissions to femsmut before because I didn't think they were femslash & I understand the difficulty of clearly defining what is & isn't acceptable, but I also wouldn't want to be a participant in a fest where my submission was rejected just because the mod's interpretation of some very general rules differed from mine.

No, I'm afraid Gwen/Morgana/Merlin/Arthur would not be acceptable.

Thanks for raising this issue. I'll make the appropriate changes to the rules now.
