No one is really ever truly alone, because even when we think we distance ourselves from everyone, we still carry them with us.

A lovely, poignant piece. ♥

This was... thoughtprovoking. Beautifully written.

We give so much thought to what the Reveal and the full disclosure of Merlin's true nature will do to Arthur, but he's not the only one who will have to reconcile the friendly, endearing Merlin with the powerful warlock.

I like the simple yet vivid descriptions of the nature that Gwaine lives in such close harmony with during this time of retreat - how the seasons and landscapes and skies echo his mood and his return to equilibrium after having gone through a considerable emotional upheaval. Lovely the way you describe the simple joys and experiences during that year. And I was happy to see Merlin knowing when the time was right to approach Gwaine, having deliberately given him time and space till then, I suppose.

Gorgeous, gorgeous piece. Love the image you created, I could picture it so clearly. And also love that when Gwaine truly needed to figure things out, he DIDN'T resort to drink, but to thought. ♥ him (he's SO my favourite knight) =D

Thank you so much for participating in the fest!

Lovely piece. I really liked how Gwaine needed to get away from it all, especially Merlin and it was Merlin that brought him back, too. Well done.
