Oh my god. You made me read Arthur/Gwen and like it.O_O

Speaking of, I loved Arthur's characterization. My heart always aches for him when I think about the hardships and responsibility he'll have to deal with once he's king, and you showed those perfectly. Also, you made his marriage with Gwen believable and lovely. Warm and friendly and solid, like... er, like friendship.:)

Gwen is so sweet, but I think I'll hate her when/if she marries Arthur in canon. This fic gives me hope for the contrary. :) Also, Merlin's first words to Arthur after years of absence made me laugh. It was a very nice touch, and a very Merlin thing to say.:D

And the end? WIN.

That makes me so happy! I'm not a big fan of Arthur/Gwen myself (I too struggle to imagine how they'll make it convincing in canon) so I'm glad you liked a more friendshippy version. :D

Thank you! I'm especially happy you liked the Arthur/Gwen, as I'm sure mentioning that in the description has put a lot of people off :p

In the interests of happiness, I certainly hope that the show also ignores certain parts of the actual arthurian legend!

Awesome story. I love how you made it seem like such a real possibility. And Arthur & Gwen were absolutely wonderful, I ached so much for them both!! And the end? Gah. Do you think you'd ever write more in this?

This was amazing, I loved it! I can't really think what else to say, but it deserves more than just "OH MY GAWD IT WAS UH-MAZING!!1!!11" The writing was great, it was well-paced, characterisations good, etc, etc, it was just generally wonderful :D

This was wonderful. I loved how Gwen was there to keep things together when Merlin and Morgana left. Poor Arthur to be left behind like that.
