I remember this fic being part of a series.

In it Freya lives and Arthur meets her when he is running through a forest. She helps him, he doesn't recognise her. He tells the other knights about her but they don't believe him. I think Lancelot knows but doesn't say anything. I believe Freya has a thing about cats in this fic? It's also a Merlin/

I think you're talking aout a story written by CaffeinatedFlummadiddle, but sadly all the REALLY excellent stories by that author have been removed from AO3. I searched for the author's name and found a post which said something happened which spooked her and she brought down all her stories. I had bookmarked some of her stories, and they now show as belonging to a private collection, so am not sure whether that means deleted or hidden or what. Those stories were so good, I am hopeful the wayback machine might have links. I hope whatever happened to the author was an isolated incident...
