1. I really want to read a merthur(prefered) or gen where Merlin doesnt become Arthur's manservant (nor Uther's). I prefer long fic but will read just about anything.

Have you tried Complementarity, Entanglement and the Uncertainty of Destiny? It sounds a bit like #2. And there are probably a lot of non-manservant fics out there, but the first one that comes to mind is Treaty Negotiations. If I think of anymore I'll let you know.
