Elsa had changed out of her waitress uniform and was wearing a cute blue flowery top and jeans and her trusty, comfortable sneakers. She caught Miranda talking to someone at the door and when she heard her name, Elsa grinned and quickly made her way past the tables. The restaurant was all but empty at this hour of the day as they had just opened for dinner so all was good.
"HI!" She smiled and tucked her hair behind her ears before stepping forward to give the Doctor a hug. "I knew it'd be you!"

She's just a few inches shorter than he is, something he's still getting used to after so many years of being taller than most people. Her casual clothing complements his own black pants and plain white shirt. Jeans and trainers are so much more practical than heels and skirts.
"I haven't been to this New York for ages. I forgot how wonderful this city of yours is."

"You look very nice." She looked him up and down before she nodded once. "You're all cute and blond." She laughed and motioned for him to follow her as she led the way into the restaurant to a table at the far end. "I hope you don't smoke?"

"Smoking is not conductive to healthy lungs, not even in someone with my sort of biology. I used to carry a pipe, but that was more for show than anything else." He sniffs the air - they're closer to the kitchen now, and the smells make his mouth water. "Besides, why ruin good food by masking it with the smell of burnt leaves?"
