OMG, this is exquisite! I don't know why, but somehow it reminded me of Telltale Games drawing style. The shadows dancing on the walls look so solemn!

From the concept and title to what it represents to the perspective you chose, showing us the wider revels at a distance, with the shadows on the Citadel walls broadcasting the general gaiety, while we get to witness up close the quiet moment of these 2, and FEEL all the struggles and love that went into this good thing they made...

This is gorgeous. Their faces are so well drawn, and the shadow/light really makes them seem fire lit. The tone and atmosphere is great, too; the light keeping the dark back, but still cold seeming from the pose and the darks. I don't know how you did this, but it looks like a print of some kind. I like the shadows of the musicians and dancers, Arthur's cloak. I also like how this is on the edge, as it were; between celebration, all the dancing people, and fear, the slightly misshaped shadows hovering on monstrous. The bonfire of Uther's reign, and this bonfire. Merlin and Arthur cuddling for warmth, in the cold. It's GREAT!

Thank you! I really wanted to get the mood and feel that the OP had requested, and somehow shadows and distance created a contrast that seemed to convey the idea of intimacy somewhat successfully :)

I love the idea of the fire representing the end of Uther's reign, and the idea of transition that you took from this:)
