Just want to put my two cents in if that's okay. I know a lot of people like anonymous fests, I get that. But having the option "I am not an artist and I prefer an anonymous fest" on an art fest...Well, I don't feel like it should be an option? Because no matter what the artists say, their opinion is going to be outweighed by those who aren't producing art. I mean, I think that would be fine for other fests, but this is an art fest after all. We already had trouble last year when people reposted works from here to elsewhere, and I'd hate for that to happen again because we're forced to be anonymous

Hi! Thanks for your comment. Actually that is why I separated the artist votes- so that they would be heard and not just lost in a sea of votes :)

Though I do plan to take several factors in mind when I make the final decision.

Unfortunately there aren't as many artist votes as I hoped. At the moment it looks like there are only 5 artists that say they prefer a self posting fest. And the very small majority say they have no preference.

I definitely want the artists to be happy <3 I thought I'd give it a few more days to see what happened.

And we will do everything we can to prevent the reposting if we do go the anon route again.

This fest is modeled off of a similar fest in HP fandom that is anon and has been running successfully for several years.

I honestly haven't made up my mind yet, but like I said there are several factors to be considered. :)

Oh, I'm very excited that I can participate in this project again! I was wondering if you'd consider updating the "merlinartfest" tumblr account with information regarding the possible new round? Maybe link to this poll? I'll certainly help by reblogging. Hopefully this new post will reach more fans - and attract more artists to join!

I've been working on getting some new banners made and so we'll have those posted soon here as well as to the tumblr for promotion.

We are actually looking for someone who might be willing to help us out with tumblr and running the merlinartfest tumblr acct. I was going to put out a call for help with that but would that possibly be something you might consider doing? Would you be interested in taking on some modly duties by chance?
