Kitchen torches are fun

I didn't manage to make a card on Friday, but I did secure a great playlist, sushi and a kitchen torch for some amazing homemade creme brulee. I even got the house in decent order so I could relax. letterboxes?

Whenever my apartment starts feeling overwhelmingly messy, I go and do dishes. It's a Flylady "thing," to have a "shiny sink," something you can go and do that brings order out of the chaos and gives you a place to start when you're feeling overwhelmed.

Where'd you go for dinner?

Letterboxing is amazing, whether you enjoy hunting the clues down, making clues for others, designing stamps, hiking (though there are plenty that don't require it, I recently found one that was a "drive thru"). My userpic is the stamp we leave behind in the ones we find.

Yeah, getting the house clean always puts me in a better mood. I agree, the kitchen really sets the mood of the whole house. I was like that in college. I couldn't start a project without cleaning my dorm. It gave me time to think and plan it out before sitting down. Just something that always works for me.

We went to 701 in DC and it was amazing. I'm still drooling over their version of tuna tartar...even though they called it "Ribbons of Tuna."

Huh. Looks like letterboxing and geocaching are pretty close, although geocaching is slightly geekier (they use a gps).

There are definitely letterboxes that use GPS. We tend to stick to ones we can find on hiking trips and are clue based. as we don't have a GPS. We haven't placed any before but I plan to this spring. I have a great harpie stamp conjuring up in my head and I think dh will really enjoy writing the clues. Should be a fun series.
