I attended my second pagan meeting (as in, most people in attendance are pagan, but they're very open) last night. It was fun! Fun in the sense of being with people who discuss issues large and small, bounce back and forth, and both know and accept that they are crazy. Much like the people I met at bad movie night, or cool nerds, or not quite ( Read more... )

I don't even know what 'normal' people do. I tend to think they're kinda boring.

I suppose. Normal people seem like freakish non-human-eating zombies to me, except they generate an almost infinite noise to signal ratio when talking.

Heh. Having passed out of the phase where I needed it to construct my self-identity, I've mostly given up on using "normal" as a general-use label. It basically means "lacking in some uncommon property" or "not a member of some minority group" but there are so many possiblities for what that could be, a lot of which are subjective, that it often seems hopelessly amorphous.

(I have no idea what properties you personally ascribe to "normals", but I'm betting they're not the same as the ones I do.)

It's good you've found a non-dull group!

I suppose "lacking in some uncommon property" is close to what I think of as "normal". Or perhaps "dull".
