Chapter 1 / Chapter 2

“Taemin wasn’t kidding when he said the bus usually comes around 6:30,” Key sighed. He was attempting to fix his hair in a small mirror, but it was just way too early in the morning to be dealing with bad hair. Key had gotten his hair dyed a blonde color, and after hours of convincing Taemin’s dad of fixing his hair up Taemin got his hair done too. He was determined to make Taemin feel better, even if it meant going through hell to give him a makeover.

After a few more frustrating minutes, Key gave up and walked outside with his new mp3 player in his back pocket and notebook in one arm. He looked up and down the street, “He said to look for the closest stop sign and just walk to it and wait… I don’t get it!” He stood on the side of the street, squinting his eyes to see if he could find a stop sign.  Finally after the very blind Key walked a little bit he found a group of teenagers crowding around a corner. “Are all of these high schoolers?! There’s probably 20 of them, and I haven’t even seen more than one this entire summer. Are they like bears, but hibernate in the summer?”

When he walked to the bus stop it felt like all eyes were looking at him. Normally he would care, but since he didn’t know these people there was no point in wondering why they were looking at him. They were either a. looking at him because of his odd blonde colored hair, b. because he was new, or c. he had grown a second head when he left the house. He was pretty sure it wasn’t c, but expect the unexpected right?

After standing at the corner for a few minutes, the bus finally arrived. One by one all of the half-asleep teenagers got onto the bus. Key looked around, there were a lot of empty seats, but he just decided to choose one of the seats in the middle. He put the ear buds in his ears and turned on his mp3 player, he was so into daydreaming he barely noticed that they were at a different stop. There was a tap on his shoulder, and Key looked up to see who it was.

“Hey Key,” Taemin smiled and plopped down in the seat next to Key.

“It’s felt like ages since I’ve seen you! How’ve ya been?” Ok, maybe it wasn’t ages but after Taemin’s stepmom got back (which happened to be 3 days ago) Taemin didn’t think it was a good idea for Key to be around. She would probably freak out that Key was the one that influenced Taemin to change his wardrobe and hair.

“I felt like I’ve been through boot camp…twice.”

“She really responded to it that bad, huh?”

“Yeah she didn’t like how I did it without her permission, and I’m glad I told you not to come over! She went psycho… screaming and yelling every time something didn’t go her way.”

When the bus stopped at a red light something ran past their seat and sat next to the gothic looking guy in front of them. That ‘something’ turned around, and Taemin sighed.

“What do you want Jonghyun?” Key looked at what he now knew was Jonghyun and back at Taemin.

“Who’s this guy?”

“His name is Key, and he’s my friend.”

“The same friend that mom wants to kill?”

“No?”

“So you’re Jonghyun?” Key asked with one of his eyebrows raised.

“No, I’m fucking Oprah Winfrey.”

“Hmm, I just kind of thought you’d be…. cuter.”

“Whatever, fag.” Jonghyun was suddenly pushed out of the seat he was sitting in. The gothic kid next to him had shoved him out of the seat, and was now smirking. Key and Taemin started laughing while the people around them were ‘oohing’, hoping there’d be a fight.

“Next time you call someone a fag, make sure there isn’t a real one that has a black belt sitting next to you.”

By now the bus was moving and when Jonghyun stood up he fell back down. Taemin and Key felt like they were going to throw up they were laughing so hard. You could tell he was more pissed than embarrassed, and when he was finally able to get up and walk he shoved Taemin into Key.

“I barely know the guy for 5 minutes and he probably wants to kill me now.”

“Hah, I know right?!”

The guy in the seat of them turned around, “You think he’ll get his posy on us?”

Taemin shook his head, “I doubt it, he’ll think of some way to get back at us though.”

“The name’s Jake.”

“Taemin.”

“Key.”

Once the bus got to the school Taemin was separated from Key and Jake, who was one of their new friends since the incident on the bus. Taemin was a freshman so he was forced to go to the auditorium, while Key and Jake were sophomores and had to go to the gym with juniors. Key didn’t understand why everyone had to gather in such a place to have their names called, while in Korea there’s just a list of names telling you where you’re suppose to go. “So disorganized and pointless,” Key rolled his eyes.

It felt like ages when finally his name was called and after saying goodbye to his new friend, walked down and got into the odd blob that was supposed to be a line. “This is going to be one hell of a day.”

Taemin walked in the direction that the teachers and signs were pointing for him to go. He was trying not to make eye contact so hopefully no one would recognize him. He could hear people whispering behind him “Who’s that guy?”, “I wonder if he’s as cute as he looks from behind.”, and “I would die to touch that hair.” It was really embarrassing, but it also felt kind of good at the same time.

He made it to the auditorium without anyone recognizing him, “Ok… so far so good.” Taemin looked around and sat on the edge so when they called his name he could make a quick getaway.

Once his name was finally called he stood up, from the remaining people in the auditorium there were whispers and gasps. Taemin didn’t know if it was a good thing or bad thing but he knew one thing for sure, this year was going to be intresting.

I feel like this chapter didn't have any relevance at all, but it did >.> It really does set the battle between Key and Jonghyun tho 8P, and Jake is a random character that I've decided to add and use later on in the story. I was distracted while writing the last half of this, my parents decided it was family night and I had to watch 2012 with them O.o

Thanks to everyone to commented last chapter, and has read my story 8)
