[ While Alice finds the Second Level quite curious and interesting, her curiosity still makes her explore all nooks and crannies of the city itself on the First Level first to see if she's able to discover anything special at all.. And even if she doesn't, perhaps just to take in the sights.

Like today, when she runs across the meditating man. At first she seems content with just observing him from a little distance, but as minutes (at least ten or so) pass by, she walks over to lightly tap him on the shoulder.

Call it more curiosity. ]

Oh-- that. [He gives her a small grin.] Sometimes the path to clarity is a bit off the beaten road.

There are a number of buildings in this place, and the majority of them are unoccupied. You could simply go into one of them if you require rest.

Since I don't need to rest, I'm not inside. Simple enough, really.

Remaining relatively motionless with closed eyes at least resembles rest. You can see how I would make a mistake in that?

Oh, that... [He takes her in, his smile softening a little. Non-humans... well, it makes sense in a way.] It's meditating. It's not really sleep, it's focusing the mind, getting rid of distractions and attachments.
