Oh, in the library! I looked in town hall too, but... It wasn't very helpful either.

[She stops, looking at this weird gray-skinned boy strangely for a moment. Then she smiles.]

A' course they would be in the library... Still, useless history books? As a fan a' them I find that hard to believe, I will have to take a look at them myself when I get the chance to. Where is the library? Oh, um... Where even am I? This isn't... The city I was just in.

The food in any store is edible? You just said it's weird, though, so why is that?

[Nods after he's done speaking. Really, he put it all very nicely. History books really shouldn't be useless after all.] It's not very far from where I was last! There's one on the west side of the city, around the center of that part.

[Aaaand there she stops. Oh, is he new too? That would explain why he couldn't even find any food yet...] This city's named Meridian. I really don't think most of us were here not too long ago either.

Oh, yes, it is edible! It just... It tastes strange. It's not bad! But it's... not how it should all taste.

If there is anything I have learned, it's that you can usually learn more from exploration and experience than from books.

I suppose so... I would have preferred to read about it too but...

Maybe there are more hints to be found somewhere in this town instead, even though I think I've already explored most of it by now.

It doesn't taste right, but the food actually tastes like something so it's an improvement.

[She can't really say she has any experience with that, but she nods nonetheless. It does sound like it would be...]

Not much! I have a mental map of the city and a population count, but everything I try to find out about before we arrived... The records aren't helping me much.

It wouldn't be that easy, would it? Finding out anything about this place, that is.
