Souji watches her lick a few things and talk to her stuffed dragon and considers for a moment whether approaching her is actually a good idea.

... All right. [Souji blinks, and slowly takes a step backward, careful not to move too fast, as he has this feeling it might not go well for him.] Please follow me. [And he starts walking back toward where he remembers first arriving in Meridian.]

No signs of the head I can recall ... I'm not sure how fresh the beheadings were, either.
