Midweek blahs

Jul 27, 2005 17:02

So, in a fit of denial about my job, I bought my tickets for Vividcon today. I am not completely sure I'm going to make it. But I've got a signed leave slip and the tickets in hand, they'll have to reimburse me if they cancel on me now ( Read more... )

Thanks. Yeah, I'm so hoping. This week has been so long, I needed something to pick me up -- I just went out to the United site and said, I'm going give me a ticket. I can't wait to see you, too.

I hope you'll be there! When are you coming in?

I get in really early on Thursday morning, like 8:30 or so. Right at the heart of rush hour. Are you going? Do you want to have lunch on Thurs?

I'll be there, but I'm not staying at the hotel, and there's a decent chance I won't be able to make Sunday at all. (That's the problem with local cons; things get in the way.) Yes, I'd love to have lunch on Thursday!

Electrical storm interuptus. Let's try this again. :-)

I usually try and stay at the hotel, even if it's local for that very reason. I *know* something will come up.

I have to go home early on Sunday anyway. I"m leaving the con about 12:00. I would dearly love to be able to stay for the sing-along some year. But not this year. *sigh*.

As for lunch, where do you live. I can come into town on Thursday, too. I'll have a car.
Email me.

Yeah, thanks. And Lunch would be great. I've got most Sunday's free in August. Well, not the first one, but the next one. And the one after Vividcon, too.

Oh, and thanks for your trainers name. I have had no time to do anything with it.

{{{Hugs}}}

I'd so hoped things at work had settled down for you but I guess that's just pie in the sky stuff isn't it?

Did you get my email from last week? No pressure on a reply, I was just wondering.

[[[hugs back]]]

I got your note and I keep staring at it telling myself I will find 3 seconds to write a short note just let you know I got it. I'm sorry it's taken me so long, but the last couple of weeks have been.... there are no words for what it's been like. I'll write soon and tell you all about it.

And I know you're in just the same boat, too. Or have things gotten better on your end?

Like I said, just checking. What with the new email addy and all I just wanted to make sure.

Things continue to go on the same here. Everytime one thing gets settled at least temporarily another pops up to take it's place.

I'm so looking forward to the Florence vacation in September. I figure leaving the country is the only way I'll escape from all this for at least a little while. *g* So I can really empathize with your going out to buy your ticket for Vividcon. Sometimes we just need something to look forward to in order to get us through the rough spots. *g*

Truer words were never spoken. It's like that at work right now, as soon as I take care of one issue I have 2 others pop up that are related to the first one and a third that is separate.

Florence sounds wonderful. Can I come. Oh, how I wish I had time. I so want to go to Witching Hour in Salem Mass -- Harry Potter Academic Con, but many of the folks are going. But no luck for me. I'm hoping for a last minute reprieve and making quick arrangements.

It does seem like this is the only con both of us get to. You don't go to Escapade, do you? And next year, me and some friends are putting on a con here: Con.Txt. If your job situation is better, maybe you can make it.

Still, I'm hoping to see you in a few weeks. I think I'll be able to go.
