Is there a better link for con-text? Your link is broken and I tried context.net but it's a domain for sale. Even googling it just brings up software :/

I hope to see you on Saturday after I pick up my race packet. 5/26!

And of course at Acendio, too.

Yes. I thought I mentioned it. I'll probably only get a day pass for Saturday. Cordelia is also going.

I have conference in New York this weekend, followed by research trip to Mexico City from early May to early July (interrupted by a trip to San Francisco for another conference and another trip to Oaxaca as a guest speaker at a summer seminar thing there) followed by a short jaunt to Minnesota. Then home for a week, then Florida. Then mostly home for the next few months, give or take a short trip to upstate New York. So things will be exciting for a while!

All of this is contingent on nothing else going horribly wrong with my aging parents or my own health, of course ...

I'm totally with you about Lewis: I love the guys, but I can't see the slash vibes...

You know, I'm so glad someone else see it, too. Or maybe doesn't see it. *g* I love the characters, and I don't mind reading or even writing slash (I did for Yuletide). But deep down, I know they don't have that kind of relationship.

Random Q: did you write 'The Same Coin'? (Snape/Harry)

Yes. In like 2004, maybe?

Just read it - that was really good! I love the fact they had a mature adult relationship where they were able to come together without any 'tricks' (you know, alcohol, sex pollen, aliens made them do it, curses, Dumbledore made them do it, etc). That was a really satisfying story!

My bullet proof kink - well characterised, well written fics where adults make sensible, mature decisions, and you hit that spot on.

Thanks! Glad you liked it.

Back then especially, you didn't get stories where they were grown-ups. I wanted to write something that made sense. They still has issues of course, but at least they could work through them, the way adults would.
