I've read some theories that some people actually collect a yeasty like substance at the roots of hair follicles that causes discomfort and is relieved by the hair being pulled out. I think it might be true. There's a certain discomfort I get sometimes at the line of my lashes that only feels better if I pull out my eyelashes. According to this theory limiting carbohydrates can help. But, on the other hand, it also does seem stress related--particularly to a kind of worrying guilty stress--the stress that arises from feeling I've done something wrong and don't know how to turn it around or turn back

oh I like the tweazing! that's a really good idea.
actually - my daughter has had yeast problems since birth so it's interesting about that. I will look into controlling that better...it's so hard with young ones.
I am so jealous that you are seeing Radiohead! Moonflowers are my favorite! Do you plant the vine kind, or the single ones (or whatever they are called). I think that gardening is different where I live, coleus is an annual here I think.
vine - hopefully one of the flowers that'll be attracting hummingbirds :) coleus likes cold then? that's good to know - we have so much shade so I'm hoping they'll do well on the porch, haven't planted them before.
I think coleus do best in mostly shady spots. They like cold, but only to a point. They die here in the winter and don't come back. :( What was a fun surprise for me was a pansy that is blooming right now. Pansies are not supposed to survive the snow!

She's still pulling out all lashes and brows. My empathy. A habit I've fought with my whole life!
