(Keep in mind my wardrobe is extensively casual. Not even business casual. I own one (1) black skirt that is more suited to winter. And there is at least an hour and a half of bus ride on the itinerary tomorrow.)

Yeah, that's about all I'm capable of. I don't know if I have dress pants at the apartment. I should. I think so? Nrgh. I have very dark jeans that might do in a pinch...

Yeah, I was thinking dress pants, but it's a mystery as to whether I actually have any. I live in jeans year-round, you know? Hazard of post-studenthood, and working in a lab where they only care that you have long pants and closed shoes...

*nods* I was just reading the above. Personally, I think dark jeans could work just fine if paired with nice shoes and a nice top. I wouldn't think that would be too under dressed.

Very dark jeans, yes. Way more awesome than dress pants. Comfy shoes that are cute, if you have them. Edgy semi-dressy top, if you have it.

Pffft. Why don't I just come over and dress you up and then we can go to the premiere together.... :)

Wear your favourite pair of dark jeans with strappy sandals or heels of some sort and a dressy top. Seems most of the above say the same. Much better than a skirt unless you have a really cool dress, but then again, you must be prepared for it to get chilly at night.

Cool dress... no. I have a dress? From the wedding last weekend? It is nice? But not travel-wear, nope.

I believe I saw a photo of that dress and may I say it was VERY flattering on you. But yes, not the proper wear for this event. I have a feeling you might need to go shoe shopping. Every girl should have some strappy dressy shoes to wear for such as occasion as this.

I understand from clionaeilis that it's not the gala premiere - I've been really confused about the tickets. It's the first screening at 6pm, but the gala is at 8pm. :-(

It looks like I'll be going up to Toronto tonight to pick up the tickets. \o/

I have duly scored the tickets! And discovered what a deeply strange a country we live in. Meres, filmmaking/artistic industry in Toronto are going to stage a rally against the Tory cuts...during the Passchendaele premiere. I just.
