Ended up at the mall again today to do some more pre-con shopping and stuff. Managed to buy little gifts for a couple people, excepting the person I most need something awesome to give. Oh, shopping, how you fail me! Also

do not worry about gifts for people, please? no one will OF COURSE think worse of you. (and i will feel guilty, cuz i haf none! hee.)
and OMG, your HCL outfit? SOUNDS SUPER-CUTE. it's just perfect in that it's got some fancy, some dressed-up, and still YOU and COMFORTABLE. very important.
I like giving people stuff! Even just kitschy stuff. I just hate shopping and spending money? My life is so complex!
My shirts are shiny! They are punk-rockish and have shiny silver print and stuff! eCat can corroborate; she was there when I bought them. \m/ (Purple eyeshadows go with a black shirt with silver lettering and hot pink roses, y/y? I think so! \m? lalalala)
I live in jeans. It's very hard to pry me out of them. Happily this is the kind of event where I could go in my skiddiest pair and no one would give a crap. \m/
EEEEEEEEEYEYAYAYAY I can haz FANGIRLS in THREE DAYS.
That sounds perfect, and beautiful. So many Canadians with that color!
Mine are changeable. Well, technically they're greenish gray, gray with a greenish cast. With yellow centers. They can appear blue or green or gray...maybe more, I dunno, depending on what I'm wearing at the moment. I tend to wear earth colors in eyeshadow. Reddish purples work on me, but I have yellow-undertone (fair olive) skin. I'll bet your fair skin must have a bluish undertone if you need the bluish purples.
The point is, you don't want to overpower the color of your eyes with an opaque shade, especially not the same shade as your eyes or the same shade as your shirt. Then all anybody sees is the eyeshadow.
Our eyes are probably somewhat similar, actually. I have the gold ring around the iris, too, but myeyes can tend to blue depending on what I wear. But yes, my very pale complexion lends more to blues than anything. All my undertones are pink. *g*
The only colours I really can't do are warm golds/tans... too close to my hair colour, and do nothing for my skin. Anything green/blue/purple and cooler is mostly fair game. Although I'm hardly wise in the ways of makeup. *g* Never fear -- I don't wear much.
Oh God, I know that feeling. When mrs_laugh_track came to town a couple of weeks ago, I had to restrain myself from buying presents for HALF OF NORTH AMERICA! So hard to find a sensible line to draw.
20/20 Hindsight Hint: when it stops being fun. :-)
I just. I am usually the captain of the failboat when it comes to reciprocating people's awesomeness? My life is hard. I need to develop a skill of some kind and make crafts, like Sis' tiny!people. Hrm.

About the eyeshadow? Don't match your shirt! No-no-no. What color are your eyes? You want something complementary to that shade.
Soon! We will all be there soon! *squees*
