Awww, I miss Nos and Meres SPN night! :-(

BUT your synopsis was, as always, hilare. Just one correction:

Haha, special delivery. It's like Good Omens! Yay.

NO! It's like "Back to the Future"! (Specifically, the end of BttF Part II, when Marty sees the flying Delorian hit by lightning, and then 20secs later a Western Union guy shows up and asks him to sign for a package. The scene in SPN was pretty much the same - it even had the same dialogue. I LOVE THIS SHOW, Meres! ♥)

When have I ever pretended to have a sound basis in dubious 80s movies, Nos? I mean, the whole STVI joke is only funny because I have seen it and I have seen approximately No Movies. I have no idea what Sam's excuse is.

OMG, Dean is a giant westerns geek! YAAAAY. And Jim Beaver got to make a Deadwood reference! Heeee. This episode made me happy. The Cas 'n' Bobby show! Though every time I think Cas could not possibly need a hug more, something awful happens to him.

His dirty little secret = defeating Raphael with the power of his gay interspecies love for Dean, y/n?

OBVIOUSLY. That's exactly where my brain went, yup.

I liked this ep, too. Though I don't really get how it's a great thing to kill the phoenix just because... he was killing corrupt men who framed him for his wife's murder to cover-up for the deputy? Just because it was useful to do so? Somehow I doubt Cas has all the moral ambiguity cornered, but apparently show is not paying attention to that lalala.

Cas really, really needs a hug. And when the big shady business reveal comes, Dean better forgive Cas or I'm gonna reach through that flimsy fourth wall and smack him.

Yeah, that bugged me too. It was like the show was kind of trying for that classic western moral ambiguity thing, with the questionable justice system and antihero taking the law into his own hands and... show couldn't quite pull it off because hey, Dean playing dress-up is hilarious and needs more screen-time. And/or the show was just falling back on its old Monsters Bad, Humans Good thing? I dunno. Dean's a geek and Sam's a giant from the future! Yay! Hee. I just hope those ashes turn out to be pretty damn important.

Oh, I'm not proud, either. I can be bought with lolz and fanservice. But oftentimes the show is more in the "hey, what?" section than anything. For a show that got really into its grey areas, it ignores a lot of grey areas. >.>

Whatever, Dean bought a duster. The McGuffin is beside the point. :D
