So, Passchendaele was totally released on DVD six days ago and it takes until now to get it up on Amazon.ca? And it's 6-10 days for delivery? And not even a cover picture?

Oh, okay. Yeah, my nephew's military unit was in it as extras, so I went to see it in Red Deer with my sister/his mom.
I thought it was very Canadian, in that everyone is VERY screwed up, but eventually does the right thing, except for the obligatory one pompous Englishman, who must of course end badly, badly. (There is no place for a pompous Yank who must of course etc., because it wasn't really their war.) I couldn't help thinking that the location shots where Alberta played Alberta looked fake, unless you know that Alberta really DOES look like that!
Deeply pathetic. Makes one wonder if Canada really does resent Paul for his success. In any event, it makes me eight different kinds of cranky, because OMG WANT. I've been all patient and good and haven't even ahemmed it or anything. I wants my freakin' reward for good behavior an' I wants it NOW! *stompy foot of fannish hissyfit*
That would be all kinds of awesome, if it wouldn't be too much trouble. I was actually planning to support our boy by buying one of each, the Blu-Ray as a gift and the regular one for my ownself.

I haunt the History Television, there are ads for it there.
I think I'll get one of each and call it futureproofing.

Well, at least HMV seems to be carrying it. Amazon is NOT on the ball, though.
Can Blu-Ray players not play DVDs? Because that'd be balls. Retrocompatibility should be the rule, not a bonus.

I hope they can, though, because I don't want to have to re-buy all my DVDs -pokes them-
