...it never occurred to me that Leoben might use this to sell Kara out. wtf. BITE YOUR TONGUE.

Leoben has always had faith in her. He's not just going to give up NOW.

Well, because LEOBEN, as we know him, never would, but I don't put it past the writers to fuck him up. The whole reaction just pinged me wrong. Like, I understand his WTF, but the running away... no.

I'm still all WTF over the whole ep, but mostly over Dee. I was more-or-less indifferent to her since I started shipping Kara/Leoben, but still, she didn't seem like the type to just up and off herself like that? I wonder how much the special snowflakes paid to make that happen? lol

I'm ok with Ellen being the FFth; though I want an explanation of how they all could've resurrected so far away (I assume they just resurrected on the Colonies?). I'm mostly just glad it's not Baltar since that would've made his whole role in humanity's destruction academic -- he would've just been following his programming. And I'm glad it's not Kara, though I don't exactly know why. lol

As for Leoben: I haven't watched it again (I think I need to to be sure of this), but it seemed to me he was afraid of something besides just Kara. Whatever's going on with him, they better have an explanation for it, or Ima have to go postal on RDM! *nods* Or, I'm... gonna... just be real pissed off!

Right? It's not like I'm crushed about her but... that was just kind of uncool. Not the least because it'll just have people piling hate on her she doesn't really deserve, like Cally. I mean, I didn't like Cally at all but... what a way to go. =/)

Yeah, I'm on board with Ellen, I just think there's a whole stack of misdirection going on here. It's hard to parse what's really the deal.

And I know, right? Leoben's whole thing was very wtf.

Yeah, that was one frakked up episode. Personally, I think this Kara Thrace is a clone from the eggs they took from her back on Caprica.

Possible... ecxept you can't clone from eggs. They're haploid. The ovarian tissue could work, though, and if you enucleated on of her eggs to host the DNA you'd have a perfect copy, complete with matching mitochondria... Sorry, got distracted by cloning, there. :P

Okay, so they took some of her ovarian tissue too. This was the bad Cylons, after all. *g*

YES! to just about everything you say!

And I know M, Leo's reaction was so wildly out of character and implausible and I'm just really disappointed with the whole thing, especially given this was supposed to serve as an emergency series ender, right? I'm gonna be SO cranky if they waste all that interesting dynamic between them for the sake of plot device or worse, don't address it at all?

Right? Like it would have totally been fine for me that he was all WTF, because WTF! But the running off is very not him. I dun get it.

Oh I totally agree, I was just like you with the 'WTF don't run away from her you pussy!' thing, but I noticed a very interesting thing. The part that REALLY freaks Leoben out is when she mentions the 'harbinger of death' prophecy. He actually kind of falls over a little bit when she says it. So I think the cylons have their own prophecy about that, and it is really really not good.

So, I was bummed out by potential mishandling of them as well, but I kinda cheered up with that revelation. I think interesting things will come! Just as long as they keep Leoben in the mix and don't have Kara going all comiserat-y with Mr Boring.

But he was right there when she heard that! He was Cylon velcro in that whole scene. He repeated what the hybrid said. WTF, show.

I'm relly hoping they take it some where. They kind of have to use Leoben, and if they use this as a way to write him out somehow lame... urgh.

No but wasn't it the hybrid in Razor that said the 'harbinger of death' thing to her? What did the other one say? Maybe I confused them.

Nope -- which I know for sure because I still haven't actually watched Razor. *g*

It was 4x06, and he was totally right there. *confused*
