she left fandom & took her fic down after a "save if you want" period. (i managed to forget to do so, bah) - if i recall correctly, i think she did say that she was ok if people shared stuff privately but didn't want it archived etc. after she took it down. (though possibly i am mistaken in that - anyone else remember?)
... well, here is the thing. I know that she doesn't mind them being shared. But. I have over 200 DS fics saved as Word documents and I can't recall if I actually saved her DS stories when I went on my mad saving spree, or just the bandom ones. /0\ Do you have a title or two so that I don't have to go through them all to check and see if I was smart and saved ALL of the stories by her that I loved or just the bandom and assorted HCL ones?
Damn! I didn't actually remember to save her DS stuff - I think because she hadn't gotten around to putting it up on her site and I forgot to check her tags for the rest of her fic. /0\ But if you ever need anything of hers for bandom or a randomly AWESOME fucked up HCL/RPF crossover, I do have those. /unhelpful.
Ahh, that's too bad. The waybacked Kyou Kara Maou links still worked (I run a KKM community and someone else was recently looking for her stuff), so I just assumed the others did, sorry!
Hey, Cousin Meres! I have five F/K fics of hers saved, and will email in a minute. (Did she write anything else? I don't know whether I have anything more of hers saved.)
I ALWAYS save targets, not links. Because links are ephemeral.
Well, more ephemeral. ;)
I dunno why the generations that have grown up with the Internet think anything about it is permanent. Huh.
Okay, so I'm emailing. For I wish my cousin to be HAPPY.
Hee! Okay. It's not that I'm not lazy, it's just that I'm too anal...and mostly that I've been around in fandom long enough to have seen a lot of stuff disappear.
And like Ray, I have trouble letting go. :)
Glad I found some of it. I just checked your bookmarks. I looked in my files, but don't think I saved her FKV story "Fair." I have very little FKV saved, for some reason. I have more K/V saved, would you believe? Actually, maybe that makes sense. FKV is pretty thin on the ground, isn't it?
Sometimes I have a bunch of challenge stories all saved together, not in separate author folders, because at the time I saved them the authors' names hadn't been revealed. I don't think I have anything of hers in that category, though. But, hey, five stories is five more than you had a few minutes ago, and "Five Times Ray Kowalski Took It Up the Ass for Justice" is a title that deserves saving. :) I haven't reread it yet. I think I should! And then I have to go sculpt something

Yeah, MSC gafiated a few months ago, saying she found it necessary for her health to delete her fic and LJ at that time. I hope she's doing better. *sends her good thoughts and good vibes*
Here's a zip file (330K) of Word files with seven dS stories and four HCL stories plus the contents of a handful of HCL discussion posts (with comments, but without linked material which had gone bye-bye already).
Hi! You probably don't know me, but I wanted to thank you. I snagged the download, and am very excited to have things that I most likely have not read.
So, thank you!
And Meresy, thanks for asking the question and letting the rest of us benefit!
*flails at you* Thank you KINDLY. I didn't have a chance to save her stuff before she deleted her LJ, so I only managed to save what she had posted on her site, which mostly wasn't her DS stuff.
(And I hope that she is doing well too. The last post that she made in LJ before deleting it seemed to indicate that she was leaving because life was going well, so I hope that is actually the case. She was a wonderful person to have around!)

Anything else you're looking for? {{{hugs}}}

It's not that I think it's permanent, it's like that I'm lazy and bookmarking has become reflex. saving, less so.
But yay, you!
I don't think I'm missing much at the moment, but I'll be sure to ask you if I ever do. *g*

It so is. I love that story, and I was planning to rec it when I do crack_van later this fall, but apparently I can't. : (
I save stuff to my hard drive, too, and I'm glad I do.

That's everything I managed to collect before it all went away.
ETA: Anyone is welcome to snag this download. Meres, you're welcome to add it to your post if you'd like.
