No!! I read Tipping the Velvet tho and found parts of it really annoying so I sort of unofficially swore off Sarah Waters for a while. BUT THAT WAS YEARS AGO.

Tipping the Velvet IS really annoying! YOU WERE RIGHT. (Although I totally recommend the BBC mini.) But Fingersmith is practically perfect in every way and should be read by anyone who likes lady's maid/lady OR LIKE ANYTHING ELSE EVER lol story with 9 billion twists and components.
