In which I ramble about religion

I've been holding back a soap box regarding tons of outrage over the replaced words in one of the newer versions of the Bible. Put as simply as I can: I teach kids from a KJV because that's all I'm allowed to teach from. They get glazed eyes as I read and don't understand a word of what I'm saying. I think it's a wonderful thing that people in this day have the ability to choose their faith, and also important that each person's faith is their own and understanding that other people are allowed to have their own (even if different) faith.

I think in the coming years the shift in religion will be an open one allowing people of different beliefs to co-exist, at least this is my hope. It's sad that so many of the younger generation are turned off by the negative aspects of what they see in organized religion and don't have the chance to experience the powerful aspects of faith.

I couldn't even imagine writing for the Christian market. The differences between denominations are still consistently growing, it would seem so daunting!
