Aw, thanks! I'm so flattered to be the winner. Thanks for doing this contest. It made me feel really good.

I'm glad you like the voice. The problem I was having in this novel was that I used two POV characters, and they both ended up sounding the same.

I wish I had more space for icons. Boo.

I really hope you can get back into it. I know that's hard ending up with the same voice. You might try picking out a few common phrases for each character that will separate them, or where this one says, "I mean," for the other character use another phrase. I think it'd be worth the effort. I saw so much promise in this opening.
