I've been discussing this anywhere. I totally agree, how couldn't I? I hate any kind of censorship, cuz it's up to me (or to parents, in this case) to decide what to do with signals from TV or papers.
I can remember lots of awful scenes from any tv show, and I can't get what was so wrong just in that episode. Do they really believe that kids will start making orges after the watching if they never thought about it before?
(God, I have plenty of icons of choice now, but I never find a suitable icon for my needs...)

Do they really believe that kids will start making orges after the watching if they never thought about it before? I have no idea what people think anymore. I was upset at the whole Super Bowl kerfluffle with the "wardrobe malfunction". I mean, you let your kids watch a show with a ton of erectile dysfunction commercials (that talk about going to the doctor if your erection lasts more than four hours), beer commercials, and whatnot, yet you're so freaking outraged by a few seconds of a woman's breast? It's for feeding babies, people! Yeah, it's been sexualized to no end, but it's not going to kill your child to see it. Way to make the kids think that bodies are something to be ashamed about. I have so much more of a problem with violence than sex on television/in movies. I'm assuming it's because of how I was raised. Heck, I was reading V.C. Andrews (incest, rape, rather graphic sex), and Jean M. Auel (The Clan of the

I read about it only now, and wow, I can't believe they did that! Apart from the fact that Our Sons And Daughters is one of my favorites of second season, as you alrady know, I felt that scene as merely incidental in the story. And I agree with you all over the line, let me, as parent, decide what my son can see or not.
And I totally need a WTF! icon, would you do one for me? Please?
I love that episode as well (as you already know). I agree that the scene was incidental to the story. I actually think that people should have more of a problem with an authority figure killing the teen for information. I mean, we tell our kids all of the time to go to cops if they're lost or need help, and look what happened to that poor kid. Is a scene of some kids making out, implying they're having sex, really that much worse? Why can your (not your, but a generic "your" directed to the people complaining) children view one without problem, but not the other? *sigh*
And I agree with you all over the line, let me, as paret, decide what my so can see or not. I know I'm taking it to extremes, but I get hints of George Orwell whenever I read things like that. I really, really, really, would rather control things for myself rather than hand over control to some arbitrary "big brother"-type governmental group.
And I totally need a WTF! icon, would you do one for me? Please?Sure. Any requests as to picture? I am assuming

I was thinking of leaving everything to your choice, included the pic (which, btw, doesn't have to be of Martin, I have so much Martin icons *g*), in fact I was thinking something that doesn't have a specific character on it, even a only text icon would be good ;) Oh, and thank you, I can't wait to see what you come up with. *smooches*
