people are apathetic about their government

the sitting duck president is a republican conservative who is about to lose his hold on congress

and it seems safe to say with now 5 people i know infected this year, HIV / AIDS has again become a silent epidemic

my friend joe found out he was infected today

people may be apathetic out their in red state cow country
but i can assure you
people on the coasts
are practically shitting themselves
with the desire to make something happen this november.

sadly,
most of the congressional races
that aren't a foregone conclusion
aren't on the coasts.

One of the leading causes (if not THE cause) of my silent foray into depression in the late 90's is because I lost so many friends and exes to that horrible virus. Now I am so numb about it that nothing surprises me anymore. That scares me.
