Lovely. I appreciate fans who pair Sirius with plausible mates, and you handled this well. First person POV is tricky with Sirius because he is so male, but nothing in this read other than masculine (and appropriately sensitive in the right proportion and places).

I wonder, does your Marlene possess a special talent as a witch, since you pointed out her eyes changing color when feeling certain emotions for Sirius?

In regards to Marlene, I didn't intend it that way (I have a friend whose eyes darken when she's mad, which was my inspiration for that particular trait of Marlene's) but I definitely see what you were thinking.
