I always am a little disbelieving of fics that have Andromeda readily forgive Narcissa, I think it's way more realistic that she doesn't right away. This has just the right amount of hope at the end though, so very well done!

I've always thought that way too, since Andromeda has just a) lost almost all of her family and b) Narcissa has lost practically no one and neither she and her family have recieved any punishment whatsoever...and maybe it's not fair to blame her or hate her for that, but it's certainly realistic.

Oh good though - I was trying to make it slightly hopeful too - I mean, I do think that in time Andromeda will forgive Narcissa - and I'm glad you think I pulled it off!

I think it's definitely a little unrealistic, yeah. Whether or not it's fair, after she's lost so much, I can understand her being destructive towards her relationship with her sister. But I think after all Narcissa's been through, it's made her reassess her priorities a little bit.
