My word these two are fantastic together. So hot and tender. And this: You make me feel all quiet and peaceful inside, Kaylee, and that’s just not something I’ve felt much of in my hard-ass life. That is exactly why I love this pairing. The visual of naked Jayne holding pink birthday cake makes me giggle! Happy birthday, indeed! And I loved him licking his knife clean and them slugging back the wine from the bottle-- because neither of these two is much for dainty glasses and prim, properness. I so very much enjoyed this fic! :D

And I've so very much enjoyed your generous comments. I could write these two all day long (and if you look at the fic list in my sidebar, you'll see I damn near have! LOL) With interest in the Firefly fandom waning and the Good Ship Jaylee having such a small crew, it's nice to find another shipmate!

Well, this ship completely has my heart. It's actually the only pairing in Firefly that I really read. I just can't ship anyone else together (except Zoe and Wash, of course) I find it a little odd, because in my other fandoms I primarily read/write slash, but this one I don't slash any of these characters. I just don't see it. And, as much as I love reading Firefly fic, I can't write it-- I just cannot seem to capture the dialogue and the feel right. It's such a different way of speaking. I do love reading it though! Thanks for writing all this! :D
