Old School Games

Jan 11, 2015 10:03

I've recently went through some stuff and found three over ten-years-old computer games. \o/

The first is Pharaoh, one of those isometric city-building games. It was my very first pc game back in 1999 and I remember loving playing it. All those tiny people running around and trying to please me...well, until I forgot to throw parties and the gods ( Read more... )

game: arcanum, mercy: real life, game: technomage, game: pharaoh

Zach loves Arcanum. I haven't really played it yet myself. :)
Haven't heard of the others.

Are you on Steam?

It's addictive and even if you haven't played it for a while, you fall right back into it the moment you start again. xD

Are you on Steam?
YES. I love anything Steampunk, really anything. Not only online but in real-life too. :)

That's what he's told me too. :)

I haven't really looked into steampunk nearly enough. "Roil" by Trent Jamieson is pretty awesome, though!

Also, this is me on Steam.

^_________________^

I found my steampunk books and games mostly by searching for a very long time. :D At least Goodreads offers a genre-search and so I found more steampunk books there than anywhere else. ^^

AH-HA! I had an account there once, early on, then my computer died and with it that account. I really need to make a new one. So far I'm only lurking. xD

Pharaoh! I have it! I even reinstalled it on my parents' computer a few years back, but then I stopped playing once again. Some levels are just too complicated.

LOL, I know what you mean. Sometimes I give up and set it to the easiest level just to get over with it. xD

I love the long campaigns, the ones where you can build for years and years and watch your little town grow to the biggest city in Egypt. <3

THEY ARE. If you need something to help your foget about real-life and disappear for some time in a great fanatsy world, they are the best thing next to books. And fandom. xD

Die Titel sagen mir alle nichts.

Pharaoh klingt ja sehr cool! Wie Sim City. Werde ich mal googeln.

Ich hab mir zuletzt die Box mit allen 3. Black Mirror Teilen geholt. Kennste die Reihe? SO TOLL! Für den PC. Ist ein Point & Klick Adventure und demenstrechend viele Rätsel zum lösen. Aber ne total coole Story um eine englische Familie insklusive alten Familienfluch :D . Was will man mehr?
